Response to Bob Getz

After reading the Bob Getz article this morning in the Wichita paper, I found myself considering again my position with Reformation Lutheran. God knows that I don't want to do anything that would bring shame and dishonor to Him like that which is taking place within that assembly. I am appalled by their UN-biblical position of acceptance and dumbfounded by their blindness.

Along with many other Christians, it is with much difficulty and regret that we are compelled to stand outside this church and plead with the people. We take no joy or personal satisfaction in what we are doing. But we cannot stand by while the Lord and His Glory is so greatly dishonored and do nothing. And that is what this is all about...the Glory of God and His Church. There must be a witness that abortion and Christianity are not nor ever will be compatible, that Christ and murder are not compatible, that love and hate are not compatible, that grace and evil are not compatible. This is not the testimony of Reformation Lutheran, but this is the testimony of the true Church of Jesus Christ.

Through the years, Satan has been successful in legitimizing the murder of innocent children in our country. But it is not in our country that he seeks legitimacy the most, it is in the church.

Isaiah 14:13 "For you have said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: (according to revelation 1:20 and 2:1, the " stars" are the "messengers" of the church" or the church leaders and pastors) I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation..."

This is what he desires: to rule from the pulpits and to sit over and above the Lord's people.

He has found a place in Reformation Lutheran.

Two thousand years ago God's own people chose a murderer over the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. So we see the same thing today.

Ecc 1:9 "The thing that hath been it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun".

In closing I would like to end by sharing a scripture that greatly encouraged me.

Proverbs 24:24-25 "He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse.....But to them that rebuke him shall be delight and a good blessing shall come upon them."

(Amplified version) "...to those who rebuke the wicked, it will go well with them and they will find delight and a good blessing will be upon them."

Listen to a commentary by Matthew Henry:

Referring to Magistrates and Ministers over the Lord's Church, he says...

"They must never connive (wink) at or encourage wicked practices. Magistrates in their places and ministers in theirs, are to deal faithfully with the wicked man though he be a great man or a particular friend, to convict him of wickedness, to show him what will be his end, to discover him to others that they may avoid him.

But if those whose office is thus to show people their transgressions palliate (to conceal or lessen the pain) them and connive (wink) at them, if they excuse the wicked man, much more if they prefer and associate with him saying in effect "thou art righteous," they shall be looked upon as enemies to the public peace and welfare, which they ought to advance and the people shall curse them and cry shame on them..."

I will be sending this note on to the Pastor of Reformation Lutheran and to Bob Getz. I pray that this will be understood in the spirit of love and grace in which it was written.

I also pray this note encourages your heart and strengthens your resolve for Christ and His Glory.

Because of Him,

Pastor Daniel
